The last paragraph hit home for me, as well as your description of people's reactions. I feel exactly that same way (as does Joe) about leaving Florida behind for Oklahoma. I worry more for Joe sometimes though, because I've always been a military kid. I always pick up and move. He had lived in the same place pretty much his whole life. I understand its a bigger sacrifice for him in some ways garage storage.
Moving to Oklahoma was the first major decision (besides getting married to each other) that we weren't forced into by the circumstances around us. We thought about it. We made the change. We decided to take the plunge and go for it. It has been so empowering. It was very very hard for us both to see Joe put in his two weeks notice at a perfectly fine job. It treated him well. It paid pretty well. We were getting by fine.
I guess we'd only ever had to put down bad things in search of something better. But this time we were putting down something great and leaving it for something also great. Just a different kind of great. It doesn't mean we don't mourn the loss of what we had to leave behind. But what we gained is so undescribable, we know in our hearts that we are where we are supposed to be and we don't regret the decision luxury brand
I think this is a great time for you two. Especially because you'll be depending on each other SO much as you re-establish everything. It will change your relationship in ways you might have never known otherwise. You will feel at home again. Derby. New Haunts. Adventures. Routines.
