Our niece is 6 weeks-ish right now. And still as awesome as ever. Best part, John turns into a pile of goo around her. We helped my sister-in-law and her boyfriend move yesterday. So between moving boxes (thank jebus they only moved from the 2nd to the 3rd floor) we were on baby duty. Who doesn't like to cuddle a baby when they're helping someone move?
John will often chat with her when they're hanging out. I overheard the following yesterday.
"You know Elizabeth, if you keep fussing, we might forget you in the move."
"I don't know why you're fussing...you have nothing to fuss about...Tatiana just changed your diaper...good timing on that one by the way."
"You know you want to sleep...trust me...everything will be way more awesome if you just let nature take its course and fall asleep."
"I like holding you, you're not as heavy as the cat."
"Careful Elizabeth, my face is scratchy. It not like daddies...all unscratchy." - said within earshot of Greg.
Does this make us want to have kids? No. Especially not after she barfed on me (though the goddaughter of awesome is still the super president of the world of throwing up on me) and left me a really epic diaper to change. Thanks zombie snack. Auntie T appreciates it.
